Automatic Vehicle Identification radio frequency (RF) technology–AVI for short–is used at gated Gold and Blue parking locations across campus and at the City-University Forest Street structure to automatically open entry and exit gates. The system provides quick, hands-free access to parking areas, and results in more space for permit holders since illegal parkers are prevented from entering.
