| Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels is dedicated to the improvement of the nutritional health and well being of homebound, ill, and disabled individuals living in Ypsilanti and the surrounding areas. Meals on Wheels has been working in this community since 1974 and currently delivers over 65,000 meals per year. A volunteer Board of Directors oversees the program and hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year. The organization receives support from the Washtenaw United Way and the Washtenaw County Senior Nutrition program. Other support comes from program recipients, generous donations, local governments, civic organizations, churches, individuals, and businesses. |
